not bad at all

I bought my self a little flux core 100a welder. I am starting to get the hang of it. I built a metal box to carry my staps in my cargo trailer, I made many hooks for my garage(for shovels, tools....) I made one metal bed frame out of two frames and added 16 inch of 6 inch casing to the top of my well. I’m gonna have to reweld my plow before the snow starts.

I got myself an cheap auto dimming mask too, since cheap ones you hold with a hand are crap.

Not bad. To my unskilled eye it looks like you need to slow down a bit, but the heat and feed are OK.

Forgetting to flip the helmet is a mistake everybody makes. Once.

Good penetration. You may know already, but I ask because some welds look decent from the top, but look like this when you flip it over:

yeah I was happy with this because even though it isnt pretty it has pretty good penetration and this is like my third weld right out the box.

I can’t tell if you did, but make sure to clean the surfaces with a wire brush or similar before you weld them.

Seriously. For so long I was like “nope can’t build that I dont have a welder or know how to weld.” and then it was “nope can’t build that I dont have a TIG welder.”

Everlast makes a few surprisingly inexpensive TIG welders. I’ve been tempted.

Nice indeed! I’ve been eyeing up the Everlast equivalent of this one. I’ve been wanting to learn to TIG weld aluminum, and as far as inexpensive AC TIG welders go, there aren’t many out there.
